Mistwald (ミストヴァルト) is a forest located to the south of Rolent.

Trails in the Sky FC[]

Background[]

Mistwald is the main source of Rolent's timber industry where many people make a living off of among other derived jobs. It's the only known place in Rolent where Bear Claw flowers can be found, making it indispensable as a source of medicine. At the deepest part of the forest a giant tree known as the Great Servais Tree looms over a stream.

While Scherazard, Estelle, and Joshua Bright were searching for the whereabouts of Josette for questioning regarding the robbery at the mayor's house, their search eventually leads them to Mistwald due to finding a Servais leaf in the house. They eventually find Josette and the other sky bandits: Lonnie, Lyall, and Dino hiding out in a clearing, talking about how Lyall caused the monster infestation at Malga Mine. The bracers defeat the sky bandits and recover the stolen crystal, but before they're able to arrest the bandits, the Bobcat arrives to carry the bandits to safety, leaving the hideout abandoned.

Quests[]

Trails in the Sky SC[]

Background[]

On their way to Bose, Estelle and her group are forced to stay in Rolent due to unexpected fog preventing airship flight. If Estelle investigates Mistwald, she finds that the road to the Great Servais Tree has vanished. After investigating the fog, people start falling into comas and fog monsters attack the bracers. They determine Mistwald is the source of the fog due to the trajectory and thanks to testimony from Ridge, who heard a bell toll coming from the area.

Deep in the fog covered Mistwald, the bracers are sent to a seemingly infinite forest. They're able to escape the illusion by following the tolling bell and reach the Great Servais Tree. A Gospel has been attached to the tree, causing the stream to produce the fog enveloping the region, and when Estelle tries to dislodge it, she's attacked by much larger fog monsters. After defeating them, the bell rings again and the group is separated.

Estelle finds herself back at home, with her mother still alive. She's able to dispel the illusion thanks to her memories of Joshua, and awakens next to the tree and Scherazard as the culprit reveals herself: Ouroboros Enforcer Luciola, former member of Scherazard's troupe. She reveals the purpose of the experiment and challenges Scherazard to stop Ouroboros before disappearing.

Treasure Chests[]

Key Contents Chest Quote
1 Potion (Sora Item) EP Charge II It's empty. It wouldn't be in this predicament if
someone hadn't TAKEN WHAT WAS INSIDE.
2 Whip (Sora Weapon) Wolf's Fang Whip Nothing in here but dust. Lots of dust, actually.
And a nasty smell. Wait, this chest isn't a tiny
coffin, is it?!
3 Potion (Sora Item) Celestial Balm The chest yawns open as if to swallow you into
its infinite emptiness.
4 Boots (Sora Item) Haken Boots This is what your curiosity gets you.
5 Armour (Sora Item) Survival Vest After minutes of frantic searching, you close
the lid, panting heavily. It's time to admit you
have a problem.
6 Accessory (Sora Item) Lily Necklace It's empty, but you notice a little hole in the
back of the box. The view from there isn't
too bad, either!
7 Accessory (Sora Item) Black Bangle Oh, hey, is there still something in here? ...Nope.
8 Space (Sora Quartz) Range 1[note 1] Were you hoping somebody would come along
and put in MORE stuff for you to take?
