Spiegel (シュピーゲル) is a humanoid Panzer Soldat weapon developed by the 5th Division of Reinford Group.
Background[]
The Spiegel was among five combat units designed by Franz Reinford as part of his graduation project. Professor G. Schmidt would later discover these designs and bring them to realisation.
More advanced than the Drakkhen units, the Spiegel units are outfitted with horn-shape helmets with clear emerald visors. Unlike mass-produced Drakkhen units, the Spiegel unit is designed for officers of the Noble Alliance. The units are outfitted with horn-shape helmets with clear emerald visors and various sensors that allow their pilots to command while joining in on the fight.
It was later succeeded by the Spiegel S (シュピーゲルS) sometime after the civil war, with several units utilized by the Imperial Army, and at least three units are used by students at Thors Military Academy, one of which is piloted by Imperial Prince Cedric Reise Arnor. Later, a dark blue unit was sent for use by students at Thors Branch Campus, with Kurt Vander favoring the unit, as it allows for good use of swords.
Standard Spiegel units use a ultramarine and grey-blue colour scheme. They can be outfitted with a variety of weapons including lances, swords, wheel-axes and rifles. They are very similar to the Drakkhen they are based upon, sporting only a different helmet shape and extra sensors on the shoulders. Various colour schemes exist.

The Panzer Soldat Almanac (1206) states:
An enhanced machine for officers and higher ranks based on the Drakkhen. It has increased output and reaction speed but requires mastery to operate. In order to cover the Panzer Soldat's weak defensive capabilities, an instantly deployable Reactive Armor that repels fire was installed, but using it effectively is even more difficult.

Mountain Cleaver | When piloted by Neithardt, he’ll charge his sword with a red glow, then leaps upwards into the air, then dives down to deliver a powerful downward strike to take a huge chunk of damage on target. |
