Cryptids (
Background[]
The nomads of the Nord Highlands know them as otherworldy beasts said to appear at turning points in history when the world is out of balance.
In Trails of Cold Steel II, all cryptids except for Unsurtr drop a Lost Arts quartz when defeated.
In Trails of Cold Steel III, Roselia mentions Zoro-Agruga as being the greatest of the Cryptids.
Likewise, Cryptids appear in Trails of Cold Steel IV due to the spurring of the Great Twilight. These are considered to be high-level fights and the cryptids drop a Lost Arts quartz when defeated.
In Trails through Daybreak, Cryptids from the East such as the Yakou-no-Nue are mentioned and appear in Calvard. they are said to be monsters that appear from a higher plane when the septium veins are interfered with.
